Johanna Harrison, BA (Hons) Oxon,

Johanna studied English Literature at Oxford. She also has research interests in issues of security and conflict in international development. In 2010 she stayed with the IMATT team in Sierra Leone whilst working in youth education in Freetown. After a number of months spent living in China in 2013, she then moved to Zimbabwe in Christmas 2014, helping manage USAID food drops and contraception distributions in her rural community.

She has worked in both summer school management, class teaching and private tutoring for a number of years. Most recently she delivered a seminar series on Islamic State, and has given lectures on leadership, African development and the role of UN peacekeeping.

In her spare time she volunteers at a children's hospice, sings opera and classical music professionally, and tries to hide an unhealthy love of baking programmes.
